Flok is a new vocal group founded in 2022. With its pop-infused sound and bold productions, the group is reshaping a cappella and bringing the genre closer to listeners. Get to know us below!
Lilja Lundén
Lilja is Flok’s soprano. In addition to singing, she writes music for the group and works on its visual identity. She is in charge of managing Flok’s social media. Outside of Flok, Lilja is a songwriter and works also on her own solo project. Her hobbies include cooking, inventing new recipes and actively avoiding the outdoors — here’s a true city girl.
Liisa Kivinen
Liisa composes and arranges music for Flok in addition to singing soprano. She has a long history with vocal music, but also plays the cello and writes her own music. Liisa recently got her master’s degree in music from the Sibelius Academy, where her studies focused on music education and musical theatre. Outside of music, Liisa enjoys sports, the outdoors and the company of her friends.
Maija Laurinsilta
Maija - the group’s alto - is a real powerhouse when it comes to arranging music for Flok. She loves all kinds of vocal music and writes original music for Flok. Currently, she works as a choir conductor and composer-arranger, as well as studies orchestral conducting. In her free time, she spends time with friends and enjoys exploring all kinds of places from bustling cities to peaceful forests.
Wiljami Miettunen
Wiljami is one of Flok’s tenors. He arranges and writes music for the group and takes care of some of the group's technical tasks. A multi-instrumentalist, he always seems to have a music-related project in the works - in addition to Flok, of course. He is currently studying music education at the Sibelius Academy. In his free time, Wiljami enjoys being with friends and family and tries to find time for walks in the woods and sitting by lakes.
Joel Bonsdorff
Joel on Flokin beatboxaaja sekä toinen yhtyeen tenoreista. Joel laulaa suvereenisti niin rytmistä kuin klassistakin laulumusiikkia. Yhtyemusiikin lisäksi Joel tekee töitä ääninäyttelijänä. He is an outdoor-enthusiast with a particular interest in birds and other natural wonders. He also enjoys exercising and is constantly learning new things about topics like biology and psychology.
Juho Laasanen
Juho on yhtyeen hunajainen basso ja visuhaukka. Juhon erityisosaamista ovat vakaat ja silkinpehmeät pohjasävelet, joihin muu yhtye saa nojata. Pitkän kuoro- ja yhtyelaulutaustan lisäksi Juho soittaa rumpuja ja on koulutukseltaan diplomi-insinööri ja teollinen muotoilija. Vapaa-ajan täyttävät perhe, ystävät, nikkarointi ja pesäpallo.
